I grew up landlocked in Colorado. The first time I put my face underwater in the Pacific, I was 24 years old and absolutely terrified. Eight years later I was teaching others how to hunt fish at 18 meters on a single breath.
That gap — from zero ocean experience to capable spearfisher — is exactly what I specialize in. I have taught accountants, nurses, teachers, and retirees. None of them had diving backgrounds. All of them caught their first fish within three sessions.
My approach is methodical and safety-first. We move at your pace. No pressure, no bravado. Just solid technique built on real ocean knowledge.

Your first time in open water — we read the ocean together. Currents, surge, visibility, and how to move without exhausting yourself.
Freediving Foundations
Sessions 2–3 · 6 hrs
The breath is your engine. We build your static and dynamic apnea from scratch — no prior experience assumed.
Speargun Handling
Session 4 · 3 hrs
Land-based safety first. You will handle, load, and aim your speargun on shore before it ever enters the water.
Fish Identification
Session 5 · 2 hrs
Know what you can legally and ethically take. We cover 20+ local species — size limits, seasons, and sustainable harvest.
First Hunt
Session 6 · 4 hrs
Everything comes together. We hunt together in a site I have scouted for beginners — manageable depth, good visibility, productive.
